Trouble playing video file

I'm trying to play a video file on a flashed Lt+ offline xbox. It is an avi file which iv tried to play from both a burned disk and from a usb.

Video: Xvid 560x416 29.97fps [Stream 00]
Audio: MPEG Audio Layer 3 48000Hz stereo 112kbps [Stream 01]

The xbox has the latest dashboard installed and I've been looking for the update file for avi playing with no luck. I did find the files for the hard drive at http://digiex.net/attachments/downloads/download-center-2-0/xbox-360-content/3430d1260185967-optional-media-update-optional-media-update.zip but they don't seem to work either. Any ideas on what i can do to make the xbox play it?

you need to either be online or transfer the license from the original xbox that the optional media update was downloaded on to the new one you are using this can be done on xbox com

by transfer the license from one to the other what'd ya mean? I tried putting my hard drive on another xbox and connected to live to redownload the update and it played the file on that one... is there anything i can do to make it play the file offline

No you cant do it offline. And when you redownloaded it on other xbox it would be licensed to that xbox.
