Spoofing with new dash.

ok, so i've read that you can't spoof with the new dash, as M$ can now detect spoofed drives. was wondering about one thing, spoofing a lite-on 7K series as a lite-on 9K series to replace a drive that i fried. anyone else try this or have the same issue? any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just write the 9 series firmware to the 7 series drive. That's all you need to do. It's not spoofing. Once you write a lite-on firmware to a drive it become that version.

Correct, all the liteons are the same drive with different firmware so you're not spoofing. You can spoof drives in the new dash (doing it now). I believe those guys were banned last wave so I think it's been detectable for quite some time. That part is BS if you ask me. People with OFW got banned. How fair is that? Guess we're not allowed to fix consoles?

awesome! thanks for the info guys. was a bit bummed, my arcade has all of my licenses for dlc, want to be able to keep that one online. i fired my 9 series trying to, well, you know, and i'm glad to be able to have it back up and running finally.

So if my original drive was a Lite on 73 and I put a "Lite-On DG-16D2S" back in it, I could write the 7 series firmware back onto the drive and it won't be spoofed and won't get me banned? Thanks.
