WikiLeaks was homeless for a bit

article published on 1 December, 2010

Wikileaks, the group behind recent leaks of sensitive data, found itself homeless today for a few hours, after Amazon pulled its hosting services. Earlier this week, WikiLeaks unveiled "Cablegate," publishing "251,287 leaked United States embassy cables, the largest set of confidential documents ever to be released into the public domain. The documents will give people around the world ... [ read the full article ]

Sorry just the first two... I can't believe there are actually those who are ignorant enough to think wikileaks is a bad thing. Seeing people actually lashing out at the truth is mind boggling.

Oh yes, please do tell who has lost their lives because of WikiLeaks, provide evidence that these leaks alone have infact killed people.
It's a completely baseless argument the government keeps trying to use. When has been exposing war crimes a crime in itself? Do you WANT the government to keep that from you? Are you that willing to live in a government that keeps ignorant of activity that anyone else would be persecuted for?

This organization in its four years of publishing history ? we don't need to speculate, it has a history ? has never caused an individual, as far as we can determine or as far anyone else can determine, to come to any sort of physical harm or to be wrongly imprisoned and so on. That is a record compared to the organizations that we are trying to expose who have literally been involved in the deaths of hundreds or thousands or, potentially over the course of many years, millions.

OK...so you are an ignorant bigot who thinks that anyone from outside the USA is a moron, and you are so pig headed that you only consider USA citizens to be american; even though there are 34 other countries in America. Thanks for making that so clear. Perhaps you could also call him a ni**er; that would really push it over the top. No wonder you support the government...you have no mind.

Actually I'm bisexual and I live in Ohio. Have to agree with you on one thing though, I'm not an american because I refuse to be part of country that puts profit before individual rights and lives. On the day the US government gets their shit together I'll happily be on their side again, but I don't expect that in my lifetime.

So secrets should be revealed but no the names of people to be held accountable for them? What a crock of complete and utter bullshit. As for Julian Assange I don't believe he ever tried to pass the blame off to anyone else. He knew what he was getting in to when he got these leaks from Brad Manning and others. The man and his project are just what this world needed.

call it what you will, i don't believe a Vet should have to come home and live in fear of getting his/her head blown off because some dipshit posted all kinds of things about you, who you killed, and why.

i never said Julian tried to pass the blame, i said he's a boasting idiot that's digging his own grave.

Maybe i have visited wikileaks. Maybe my ass is chatting up a storm, you decide.

with that, I've stated my opinion on the matter and have no desire to make it personal or take it farther.

This article should probably have its comments disabled as it is a touchy subject for all involved and global politics are a touchy subject anyways. I'm done with it everyone is entitled to their own opinions.
