First off, let me say. Yes I know there are a tons of threads already on this topic. The reason I have started anew is because each thread has different responses that just are entirely too time consuming and do not answer my specific questions. That being said lets begin:

My rip drive is a TSSTcorp DVD-ROM SH-D162D SB00 at [E] Additional Info: KREON V1.00

I had read that I could use Schtrom360 v 3.2, which doesn't work for me. I get an error message saying "Only XBOX extraction is supported on this drive". So left that alone, downloaded and tried XBC v2.9, which worked fine reading and ripping. Under Read, checked Complete Backup under image style, which gives a lil message to the right that says "This is not a true 1-1 copy of image. See "Read Me" for more details. Clicked start and poof, made the image.. I have a .dvd and a .iso image.

Now the next part is where the threads get confusing. Threads say I should run steath check through ABGX360 v1.0.1 before I burn using IMGburn but others say it's unnecessary. So that is where the process has stopped for me because I don't wanna try what was in one thread and get errors and then have to go read through those other hundreds of threads back and forth.

So, my questions are
1) Can I have responses from people who have successfully completed backups using the methods that I am using.

2) Are there any changes that need to be made in my image creation process in XBC v2.9 i.e., something checked under the image tools, options, etc. tabs

3) Is ABGX360 v1.0.1 necessary, and if so, can I please have layman term instructions on how to use ABGX360 v1.0.1

And thats pretty much it, I have everything else I need. Flashed Hitachi drive, dual layer burner, verbatim disks, even entirely seperate 360 for playing backups. Just need to know if I using XBC correctly and how to use ABGX360 if necessary.

Thank you!

If you're ripping your own games properly, then you would only use abgx360 just to check the ISO, rather than to do any patching/repairing. Your best bet is to download abgx360 (version 1.0.4 though, not 1.0.1) and set autofix to level 0, then run your ISO through the program and post the log in this thread. If there's any problems, people will point you in the right direction.

Ripping games with a Kreon drive is no longer Live safe though, at least potentially. For the games to be Live safe you would either have to patch them with an SSv2, or use a drive with 0800 firmware for ripping games instead of Kreon.

Anyways, I would say the first step is to run one of your ripped ISOs through abgx360 with autofix set to level 0, just to see if there's any major issues with your ripping process.

Thanks for a nice simple answer. I'm not really to worried about Live as I really only play PS3 games online anyway. But this is the the log that I received. Sorry so long but I didn't see where I could save the file
