So I get a lot of games from the PS network store (yes legally!) I am wondering, in an effort to save internal HD space but not have to DL these games at a later date, can I setup an external HDD and copy my game and movie files to this and play them off of the external? I am not looking to mod my PS3 (not yet anyway). Any ideas on how or directions to point me to? Thanks all.

No, you can't without hacking and you can't even with hacking (yet).

If you want to save your games on external HDD, you must jailbreak your PS3.

Well I don't really want to mod out my system at this time.......not sure but once modded it keeps me from playing online games if I remember right. Thanks anyway.
