i recently have been having issues when i burn movies where towards the end the movie freezes or gets pixels on screen. sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn't. I've tried the copies in a bose 321 system and on a xbox 360 same problems. i have been using dvd next copy software with dvd 43 to cancel the copy protection. im using dvd next copy only because my dvd shrink says i need nero even though i have nero 7 installed. thanks for any help.

Make sure you are using decent media and not burning too close to the edge.

You can Use DVD Shrink with ImgBurn instead of Nero.
Uninstall current version of DVD shrink.
Install ImgBurn - uncheck option to install toolbar.
Run portable 'DVD Shrink with ImgBurn' version and load project.
Edit > Preferences > File I/O, uncheck 'Enable burning with Nero'.
'Backup', select 'ISO Image File and burn with ImgBurn'.

I have found that with videos of tv series, if you take everything on the DVD I get freezing and pixelation near the end. I assumed I was to close to the edge. I then began to copy these disks with just the episodes and no extras. I know find that my discs are not freezing and less pixelation.

Copy just the movie or just the episodes and I think it will solve the problem

When you copy, just do the basic movie. In a tv series, drop everything you don't need to have and copy just each episode. The more you copy the greater the chance of problems. Most people do just the movie because they never watch the extras.

The default for DVD Shrink is 4464.
I use the custom setting of 4300.

If you're using good media, then there's no reason to avoid writing at the edge of the disc.
