I KNOW THE QHESTION HAS BEEN , BUT I DONT UNDERSTAND, SO IN EASY STEPS HOW DO I COPY A CODED DVD TO A BLANK DVD USING DECRYPTER.
PLEASE HELP

Don't use all caps. That implies you're shouting.
If you're trying to copy a dual layer DVD, you can't do it with only DVD Decrypter. If the original is single layer you can just select your DVD drive to read from, open the Mode menu, go to options and select Read, click the folder icon in the middle of the window to select a destination location and filename, and click the green button to rip. When it's finished, go back to the Mode menu, go to ISO, and select write. Then select your burner and click the green arrow again.
If it's a dual layer disc, you should probably start by downloading DVD Shrink and learning how to use it. You can either compress to fit on a blank or reauthor to make a movie only backup (or a combination of both). Once you get Shrink down, if you want to do other things, like stripping extras to avoid compression and keep working menus, you could look at some other programs that do that, but I always advise people to start with Decrypter and Shrink until they feel comfortable with them.

sorry 4 caps
i used shrink and i got an error- not enough space on target drive, what does that mean and how do i fix it

It means the drive you were saving the backup to doesn't have enough space to save it. It takes 4.37GB of free space for a DVD backup. How much free space do you have on the destination drive?

The easy way to learn how to backup your movies is go to www.doom9.org it is a really good site. U cud use a program called dvd x copy i used to have it and it works really well

Calmdown, Calmdown, afterdawn has several excllent guides on how to burn backups. All the software that you need is also available for free. All you need is a copy of DVD Shrink (having a copy of Decrypter is not a bad idea either. This assumes that you already have software for burning. Nero is best since it interfaces with DVD Shrink. well i have 2 hd: c and d
c:17.2gb free space,14.8gb used space
d:970mb free space,4.18gb used space
i have an external burner so is that what drive d: is for

Hmmm ... thats a pretty small so called hard drive. Try doing this ... eject any disks from you external burner. Then open "my computer" and see how much space is available on you D drive.

Calmdown, you do know that you need a new blank for every movie. The second quote, is this your burner? If so those numbers usually implies a burned movie.

You will probably find that d:970mb free space,4.18gb used space is a built in partition made by dell as a recovery partition
DO NOT SAVE FILES HERE IF IT IS THE CASE
Also you should have these drives c: = hard drive
d: = recovery
e: = cdrw
f: = dvd+-r
although f: i think depends on what usb port you have plugged into
To free up space run: disc clean up (start>programmes>accessories>system tools>disc cleanup)
add remove programmes (start>settings>control panel>add remove programmes)
only you know what you dont use

Calmdown, it's hard to say which letter was designated for your burner. Best way to tell is it will be under devices with removable storage, and dvd-rw.
Also go through your D drive. Any files you wanna keep transfer them to your C drive. Then just delete that partition.

DO NOT delete d: partition or remove any files. It contains your winxp install, and all drivers for your computer

Sorry I didn't know that about recovery partitions. I run XP, have one partion. So Calmdown, that would be a very, very bad idea!! :)
