I have just got a retail version of Assassins Creed Brotherhood, and I have a few questions for connecting to live in order to access Uplay only.
First off, I don't know alot about X-Box Live, since I have never connected to it before. I think my 360 is flagged since I accidentally tried a downloaded version of the game(which didn't work), so I'm not sure about connecting.
What I have in mind is, can I put my Hard Drive and disc in a different X-Box that isn't modified? I intend to download a few extra costumes for the game, and I'm considering to go to my friends house in order to use his X-Box for that. And another thing to mention is, can I download DLC using the same method? Downloading it to my HD but using an unmodified X-Box.

you should be able to do that, but there was a rumour that if you go on live and actually get banned, your x box hard drive will be corrupted along with all the data on it.

most probably you mean that the gamedata and profile becomes corrupted (clean secdata.bin).
if you download any data on a unmodified and clean xbox on your harddrive (your friends xbox) and you put that hdd in your modified xbox; it will not work. since the download is linked to the xbox on which it is downloaded (that has been the case for years; i doubt that has changed). unless off course you have a jtag xbox; then it is not a problem. if you only have a dvd fw flashed xbox; it won't work.
i'm not sure whether xval (XVal_v2.0.zip) still works; up to some extent you can see if your console shows any flag. that might give you an idea whether you are flagged or not.
but if you are flagged; you are screwed anyways. no way back; and a ban is coming. in that case just try to dl the content quickly while you are still live capable. but that is my opinion.

Could I still prevent it if I don't go online? And would I instantly get banned if I try to go online if my console flagged?(even though there isn't a wave ban)

Another thing to add is, I will only be using Uplay to download content for the game specifically, so its probably not considered DLC. So will it \work if I use another X-Box with my own Disk and Hard Drive to only download from Uplay?
