hello to everyone . first off im new to discussion boards , so please excuse me if i sound dumb. my xbox has a hitachi drive(gdr-3120L) (rom ver-0079FL) and its the original drive.its not modded nor has it ever been opened or dropped.it will play movies but has just recently stopped playing games. it just started to make a clicking noise only when putting in a game. it doesent make any noise when playing a movie.i was going to buy another hitachi drive just like the one i have , but im reluctant to because of all ive read about flashing.ive read that i could change the pcb from one drive to the other without flashing? can someone help me out? thanks

thanks , and i did find one for 22 total. and all i have to do is trade out the pcb? no flashing?
The key in your Hitachi's PCB board matches the key in your console's motherboard. So when you swap PCB boards, you will still have matching keys in order to read games disc, eliminating the need to flash a key to the new drive..

This post should be a sticky all by itself!
Well, my keyboard was sticky when I posted it, but that's another story (and another website).
