I had 8955 dash running on my jtag . I had it updated to the Kinect dashboard.I think it was 2. 0 something. Anyway got home.Jtag started to freeze even had trouble detecting my controllers.I took it back and he restored it to 8955. But now it still freezes . Before this never had any issues. I have read that the Kinect update ruins your jtag? Have I ruined my jtag? Never use to freeze before. Is a option also for me to have the entire hard drive wiped and have everything put back on from scratch?

It has nothing to do with the freeboot v.4 (kinect dash) you had installed your JTAG is just dieing. My guess is it's a xenon? Without knowing more about whats actually going on I cant say if it will help for sure but maybe a reflow would save it.
