I have the homebrew channel, Neogamma R6 and R7. Been out of the softmod scene for a while, never was an expert, just followed tutorials and everything seemed to work. I've never loaded from usb or anything like that, just backed up ISO's to DVD-r's and all was good.

Today I burned a copy of guitar hero warriors of rock NTSC on a dvd-r via nero and loaded through neogamma R7. All I got was a black screen when I tried to load it.

My question is what do I need to do to my wii to get up to speed to get this to work?

you can try using darkcorp which means you load it from the disc channel but that sometimes screws up you wii when installing

I'd update the IOS's using a homebrew program called pimp my wii. It will detect any missing or out of date IOS/cIOS and install them for you.
