first off thanks guys for any help you can give... I have samsung 28 the toshiba samsung corp xbox 360 drive, the box has been opened before so i have no idea what firmware is on it, I am using an NVIDIA chipset onboard to flash.
Ok here we go I have put the drive half tray and tried to get jf to recognize... nothing
closed tray .. still nothing .. tried a vendor intro and computer want's to freeze and nothing will get jf to recognize the drive??
the drive still open's when hooked to the 360 but my ck3 chip wont' open or close the drive.
any suggestions here... is the dvd key still on this drive or is it lost ..
My CK3 open and close option never worked, on any drive. you can get it half open by connecting it to the 360, open it, then disconnect it from power. then push it half way in.

If you can get it open manually, JF should be able to see it. Hopefully, the firmware is still on the drive. If you still have the dummy.bin and can't get JF to see it, give dosflash a try.

ive never used dos flash, but would the drive still eject in the 360 if the firmware were gone.. i didnt think it would do anything..
