LoL...very appropriate for the iPhone4; a real dinosaur...downright prehistoric.

For some reason, I feel myself wishing for everyone who buys one of these to be sterilized to prevent breeding.

Art is art. If there are people who appreciate this stuff more power to them. I think what's really wrong with the world is the sense of entitlement some people get to judge others.

If I'm not mistaken, the point was "the sense of entitlement" one gets from the judgment he or she made and not the judgment itself.
......and his right to judge others that judge others is called freedom of speech as well.

Want to know whats really wrong with the world? Look at the last 50 news posts here on AD and notice the people that complain about the content of every single news article here. If they are not complaining about it they are bashing someone or something. We have all this amazing technology and all some people can do is complain about ALL OF IT. It's sad.

It may be art in a certain sense, but it is also designed to be thrown away in a year...actually closer to 6 months.

Actually to be more correct LESS POWER TO THEM as they pay an extremely over inflated price for something that will be worthless down the road. Buying on emotions is never a good thing when the price is inflated but from a marketing stance just think of the profit you derive from selling a piece of crap for 3 million.

We have a loser!!!! and it's djeazyg.... :O)

Reading isn't one of your greatest abilities. My point was about those who will complain about this sort of thing. Why do you care what some rich ass hat does with his money? Worry about something important.

Apparently you don't read well as my comments are on the money and you just don't get it do you. I'm not surprised!

Umad? cause it seems like you are the one who is upset.

Money is nothing. Just a means to an end if you will. The people who are buying this 40gbp cell phone, have money. Serious money. I doubt any of them are middle class.

MY POINT:
is Mr-movies, your point is crap. How you view money is ultimately irrelevant. It is quite clear that you do not have the money to buy this phone. (nor do I think any of us do). Thus you do not have the proper social standing to judge those who do. :)

Yep you?re right inflated products and money is not important in the least, until you have no money. You truly aren't the brightest bulb on the market and if you are dumb enough to pay way too much for things like this then you deserve what you get, nothing for something. My point is valid and saying money is irrelevant just shows your ignorance, doesn't it!

Your the one that's upset and your opinion is worthless. I never said I would buy the thing. Just feel "to each his own" applies here. The people like you who complain about what the other guy does are the people that are flawed. Your nobody to tell anybody anything about anything. But if it makes you feel better to think your better than me than more power to you.
Like I said some people are so predictable and they never disappoint.

To each his own always applies, talk about worthless points. Money is not a worthless point and when it is exaggerated to this extent it shows how dumb we have become and you seem to take blame here, your loss of course. If you don?t care why are you sooo bothered by my statement? You obviously think this is worth that kind of money even though you can?t afford it. Too bad for you?.

This is just getting ridiculous and I have to say:
To the two main posters in here: One of you is acting like an idiot (I won't name though they will almost certainly present themselves by flaming me). The original point was about something entirely different than what it has perpetually be pushed to. Even after the other guy conceded and started trying to argue on the new point, the other stayed one-track minded and wouldn't really even address the points made (though I think they probably thought they did). Lastly, the fact that you, yes you, feel the need to come back at me is interesting in that you wouldn't feel the need to if I didn't hit the nail on the head and you were the one acting that way. I mean, if you aren't acting that way I wouldn't be talking about you now would I?

My thoughts:
Who cares if people buy them? It's an interesting piece of work (art or not) that took quite a few hands-on hours of craftsmanship.

Preemptive comment to the inevitable "should have given the money to charity" comment:
How do you know the person(s) who buy this/these haven't already given hundreds of times more to charity? Which, by the way, is highly likely given that the kind of person that would buy such a practically useless item usually throws money around at organizations and charities (though usually for publicity) by the boatload. Furthermore, do you have a TV? Cell phone with data or even text service? Car? Truck? A homeless person could easily look at you and ask why you got the TV or data/text service or car/truck and didn't just settle on other entertainment or plain voice service or a bike/riding public transit and give the money to charity. The door swings both ways. You may see someone with so much money they can live well without working another day in their life but others can see you the same way.

Doesnt expecting the unexpected make the unexpected expected and therefore mean youre expecting the expected which was the unexpected until you expected it?

Saying (or even implying) money is anything shows you are doomed to a working class lifestyle and will never muster the intellect needed to move up in the world. It seems to me that you're one of those people who says "why buy a 200,000 dollar car when you can buy a house with that money?". It's truly a shame that people like you cannot wrap their heads around a little idea called social status. If you look wealthy, people will treat you as such. If you look poor... You get the picture.

Without poor people, we'd be living in a communistic world. So i should be thanking you :)

By the way, theres this little thing called run-on sentences. Probably should look into that.

Wow, that is the problem you'll never understand the value of a dollar and what has worth or not. It is this total lack of common sense that is what's wrong today with you young children.

I didn't grow up with mom and dad giving me everything I have. Yet I've travelled the world many times over and done things most people will never do.

Again I'm not surprised that you and the other children don't get it, which is really sad, but like I said your lose.

Having money doesn't get you respect and spending beyond your means isn't wise so I would say with your attitude(s) that you may be in for a rough ride in the future.

If you want to continue to banter I can stay up with you as long as you wish but my point still holds water and remains the same, it is foolish and stupid to spend 3 million for something that should go for $300 even if it is really awesome and it doesn?t matter if it is for charity or not. When I give money to charity I give money I don?t buy something I don?t want or that most people wouldn?t buy just because it is for charity that is a scam. I realize though that a lot of people do buy into the scams these days.

This really isn't spending beyond means...it is intended for people who make so much just from the interest on their bank accounts that they could waste $80,000 ten times a day and still have more money at the end of the day than at the beginning.

It is pure waste for the sake of waste; an outdated phone with an extremely expensive case...nothing more. Buy it, use it for a week, then toss it in the trash and get a phone that works...this is what it is for, this is the message it sends, and this is how it will be used.

...And that is just what the clients want; a symbol of the fact that they have so much money that everything is worthless to them.

If it isn't what is? Nothing, the sky is the limit. I would suggest you all purchase this wondeful toy it will suite you well. You can think your something when in fact your not. At least you have a friend now Rebel11 way to go I'm proud of you now. LOL

Even If I had 3 million to throw I certainly wouldn't waste it on this but then again I'm not dumb! I don't look at people that waste money as being smart no matter how much they have. Look at all of the punk basketball players that blow millions and when their career is over they are bankrupt and living in the gutter. They had enough to live on the rest of theirs lives just from 1 year of work and where do they end up. Foolish is foolish period!

"Even If I had 3 million"
"but then again I'm not dumb!"

I'll let your words speak for me.

Edit: So we're talking about intelligence with money, and you bring up basketball players? I mean seriously.

2nd edit: Also, Sky isn't the limit. for 250,000 usd you can go into space. Well worth it.
