kv net id issue

the guy who sold me the box states
to get the net id list click
scan - i do that and get 57 -
but i cant click on any to select.
this is done with direct line feed.
soon as the scan is done it goes straight
to channle scanning
why cant i select an area id ?

when i do scan with splitter
i get 1 net id only .

menu>installation> auto search. pick your old provider mine is ntl yours maybe telewest or c&w or other options it gives you. click on it and then green button

i am ntl i do

it scolls 57 down the list but wont
let me click ok to sellect 1 then
