starview 6 not working

hi peeps, please help? i followed the starview 6 tut throughly got all channels showing on box and epg etc but only can view fta ip address is ok but the box won't connect to server. i bought this box privately from this site (ireland) and is definetly not 1 year old yet i have tried everything that i can think off for a month or so and about to give up please some1 shead some light on this matter. thanks

rajraju,glad you took the plunge mate.once you have the uk firmware in the box it should work.in your ip setup are the boxes all filled out(mask,gateway,etc)are you connected from box to router with cable.i have to go now will be back later.
I havent failed, Ive found 10,000 ways that dont work.

raj,check over this thread by darkyme85((IS SV6 DEAD?? e45?))go through it from the start and take your time.maybe you can take one of the box,s to a neighbours house and see if it works there..

Are you in N.Ireland or Eire. No server for this box in Eire.

eamo,raj is in uk,bristol.he,s pm me and told me he has four of these box,s that dont work

hi eamo_too bought all the boxes in question from ireland privately after they got knocked out,iamge is good scan ok only fta will not connect to s--ver done accessory 8*8* emulator etc all ok. please help out if you can. thanks

Did you change I-stream to U-stream. Put Carling 1.03 STVU6 firmware on box.

Make sure IPsetup is set to auto
After flashing 1.03 Fac-reset, auto-scan.
If necessary re-boot router & box
Just wondering Raj could there be an issue with server because box was already connected
to Irish server. Mickah might have some knowledge on this.

i would of imagined with all the boxes that were sold to the uk market from ireland(when ours went belly up)that we would of seen this problem regulary.but yes eamo its still a possibility.
I havent failed, Ive found 10,000 ways that dont work.

hi EAMO_TOO yes these boxes were connected to s--ver in ireland before i bought them but didn't envisage this problem. is there a way round this problem any1 please?

That may not be the problem Raj, you don't give much detail in your posts.
Have you flashed Carling 1.03 on the box
Have you selected U-stream in network
Have you turned on auto-updates in emu
Have you set ip-setup to auto
Post back with details & someone will help you

Hi reswob- i do have some experience of setting this box up,believe me i have done everything that you guys suggested. got carling 1.03 on box factory reset scanned ok without the ethernet, cable inserted back in after scanning menu accessory 8989 amulator appears netwok selected all on relevent ustream selected.ip address is showing selected auto and hit apply reboot box and rouetr switch back on after 3 minutes still no joy anymore suggestion guys p;ease? thanks

Think you are going to have to fill in values in IP-setup manually, or reset Network card on PC
At the moment IP-setup is set at auto. Are any of the lines not filled in e.g. mac address.
Easy option if you have console connected to internet is to note all values of IP-config in
console menu. Disconnect console from internet, Change SV6 IP-setup to manual & enter all
console values in SV6 IP-setup.Make sure to save. Reboot router & box. If box works console
can be re-connected to internet by auto-connect.
If you don't have console check IP/config on PC & enter values in SV6 Except IP address has to have last no. different than all other IP addresses in use
To reset network card on PC look in control panel & disable then enable any LAN connections

hi raj,i am experiencing the same problem,i purchased a starview 6 and have been unable to get it connected to the internet. i have put the correct software, emu on,ustream,everything to the book but just says not connected,i have had a few of these and all work but this one is givin me a headache,anyone any suggestions? is there a step by step tutourial that anyone has would be worth a try as i am at my wits end!

Suppose you have tried re-booting box & router. Did you use this firmware Carling 1.03

Are any lines in IP-setup not filled in. You may have to manually fill in values if box
won't connect when set to AUTO in IP-setup

Maybe his box has been banned from the server i have heard of a few of them like that even lincsat has one and he is a supplier totally unreliable boxes in my mind and no support from anyone for them.

could be the time is up on them perhaps? if he bought them from Ireland, the time could be up on em perhaps, just a suggestion..... depending when the box was first activated of course, but they had em early in Ireland, before the UK if my memory serves me right

is it possible he bought them from Ireland ?? as i thought that is what i read somewhere if so its possible the 12 mth sub has expired on them remember Ireland got there boxes first so that could be a possibility
also i would try a factory default on box then box by box flash them and try and get them 1 by one on the net it could also be that the server thinks he is using clone boxes as he is using 4 from the same ip im not sure but that is a starting point

he has 4 of these boxes he bought of this site,none work,he bought them over a month ago.i thought those boxes first appeared back in early march in ireland so he should have some life in them still.all rajraju and badboy need to do is try the boxes in a mates house that currently have a starview working,this will determine if it is a fault with the box or the set up.[[[four boxes bought in ireland]]

there must be a lot of boxes over there that came from here that are not working,which would make me think why we have not seen this problem more often.just out of curiosity is there anyone in the uk this minute that bought a s/v 6[second hand]from ireland and has it working in there home now???

Cant understand why anyone would buy a second hand box and get no warranty with it for the extra few pound you get a brand new box out of the wrapper and the knowledge it was never used before

the SV6 was in ire before march also, they are running since Dec / Jan, some being tested, some bought before they became available fully on sites, so could be that, just find it a coincidence that all 4 are not working, points to em being blocked on the server or expired.
