A lot of the people that use IE do so because of either:
1) Internal applications (for work) are built for use on IE. As such they have to use IE and can't use, or sometimes even install, another browser.
2) They don't know any better.
3) They don't care.

And yet there has been reports of people getting struck by lightning even on cloudless days... ;-)
It's in the high 30's to mid 40's here; makes me sad as nearly all the snow has melted around my house. :(

You do realize that most online games and some offline games with online content use Internet Explorer for their launchers or updater. So to some extent everyone even to this day that does anything related to online or many offline game related activities use IE
