Hey guys, I received a broken Xbox 360 for christmas, yes i know cheap bastards. Anyways I fixed it, and got it working great. I havent updated any firmware or anything, or even played a game yet. Anyways im very interested in mod chips, my goal is to be able to play burned games on my xbox 360 without having to worry about them banning my xbox off of xbox live. I also need software so I can go ahead and grab a disc from say blockbuster come home rip it and throw it onto a disc and then pop it in my xbox and play. I can solder fine, would prefer not to, but if it is a must then I can do that no problem. So yes, I am not interested in any hacking mods, or homebrew applications I just want to be able to play and burn discs. I am on a fairly tight budget so price is a concern. Thanks alot guys

Welcome to the club, Im going to blunt with you (I like blunts), anyway, no one uses mod chips for xbox 360's anymore as they are impractical. Depending on the type of drive you have, you may or may not have to solder anything. You will need a sata card and a pc to accomplish this task. Other hardware may be needed if it is a Liteon drive. You cannot use a simple software program to allow your standard dvd rom to even recognize the xbox 360 game in your drive, let alone rip it. You will need a specific model of pc-dvd-rom drive along with special firmware that is to be flashed to allow you to accomplish this task as well. As for a sure fire way to stay protected from being banned, none exists. If it did, someone would be making alot of money. For now, we rely on people behind the scenes who analyze the commands and checks that are in place to provide us with the safest firmware possible. There are ways, however, to (unban) your box, but the process is limited to a certain range of dash versions that stopped circulation in 2009. My simple advise for now is to read up on flashing your drive, then get familiar with torrents to acquire a game to try.

go to www.jungleflasher.net and download the tutorial which will tell you everything you need to flash. Then get a samsung kreon drive, and flash the kreon firmware to rip copies. Run the images through abgx to make sure they're stealthed properly for live.

1. I was at work surfing through the boards on my HTC
2. It takes longer to do anything on a mobile device.
3. After my first post. I felt bad so I did a second post to help the guy out.

So you're saying because you're on your phone it took more effort to act like a douche than if you were on a computer? I don't know why you're telling me to play nice when your first post contributed nothing and follow up was trolling
