Has any one had problems with LT plus 1.1 on a 9 Series Liteon? The drive worked fine when flash back to stock and seemed to read ok after going back to LT Plus 1.1. It sounds like the ribbon cable or laser burned out, but playing fine stock threw me off. Maybe i didn't leave it stock long enough for the issue to come back or the ribbon cable is the issue. not sure so i wanted to ask here for any suggestions. Thanks!

Check to see all the ribbons are in place. Do you just get open tray?

yea i have. it actually reads games but has issues. like it locks and freezes. i flashed it back to stock and it plays fine. its only when i flash it does it seem to have issues. i thought it was fine at one point but it started having issue again. i had read on teamjungles forums about unplugging the ribbon cable when flashing. but the first time i flashed it was that way and it gave me problems right away.

have you checked the pot settings on the laser? try cleaning the lens with alcohol, something that is at least 90 percent, i have noticed that a few smudges on the lens will not cause issues with originals but causes havoc on backups.

yea sure i will check. it could be something on the inside is loose from where i took it apart to cut and solder it. I believe thats ok since i was able to dump the key i even re-checked my soldering and stuff. One of the times i had a issue it would say insert cd.

OK, so i figured it out. Bad Laser. i have a 7 series sitting around and swapped them. works like a champ now. I read that teamjungle recommends you unplug the DVD laser ribbon, which i did the first time i flashed it and even had issues then. not sure it that was it or just messing with it made it go out. but all is well now, thanks everyone for helping!!!!
