Ok so I've been working on this pretty much all morning, assuming this is the reason why I can't accept some of my friends game invites on black ops, might just be the lame servers right now but I'm thinking its on my end.

Now I've been googling serveral guides and tried everything I could pretty much find:

I've opened up the 6 different ports

Changed the DNS servers to 4.2.2.2 and 4.2.2.3

enabled DMZ with the correct static IP

and did all this on 4 different routers which are Linksys: WRT54G, WRT54GX2, and WRT400N and also tried a Netgear WPN824 v2

Now I'm all out of ideas and don't know where to go from here.. if anyone could help please

If you put the system into a DMZ, then you don't need to open the ports. I would close them, as it may be causing a conflict. Not sure if you are using wifi or wired, but I would try wired if you are not using it already (PS3 wifi isn't very good). Also, make sure that your cable modem does not have any security crap built in.

Also, you might try changing the firmware on your router...you have lots of open-source options.
