burn error - what does this mean?

hi, can anyone tell me what this error means:

Set LO Data Zone Capacity failed Reason: Power Calibration Error

I was using my external burner (LITE-ON DVDRW SHW-160P6S USB Device) and when I put the blank media in, I got this error. Thanks for your help.

It often refers to a media problem.
The burner cannot calibrate the amount of laser power required to burn the disk.
If you use known-to-be-reliable disks - like Verbatim DataLife - you should not get this error.
