Can you only backup xbox games on dvd-r and rw?

If you must use a dvd-r or dvd-rw then can u use a regular cd burner to burn them.

1-this should be in xbox forum
2-this has been answered many times before
3-no you can not use cdr/rw drive to back up dvd-r, you must have a dvd burner
4-what type of disc playable in xbox depends on what type of drive is in xbox
