Problem with TMPGEnc.

Hi, I followed a tutorial from here perfectly and I got to the point where I had to use TMPGEnc, the first problem I had was on the "Bitrate Setting" page, the file would not fit on the DVD-R but someone told me how to get around this by going into "source range", when I clicked OK on the "source range" box I got a little error message saying "Invalid pointer operation", I just clicked and carried on thinking nothing of it, everything seemed to be going OK, I left my computer on all night and it got up to about 60% (which took about 14 hrs) and the message "Invalid pointer operation" came up again but this time stopped the process, if anyone can help it would be much appreciated, thanx!!!
