I am interested in getting the ps3break.

I noticed that I have the version software 3.50 on my console. Will the ps3break work?
Where is the best place to order this? and do I need other parts aside from the USB Key?

I want to run game off a hard drive.

I recommend E3 card reader or PS3Yes Pro other than ps3break .. You need to downgrade the ps3 to v3.41 since yours is on 3.50 with the jailbreak device first .

I got mine from Lightake.com , it took 2 weeks more or less to come as it's a HongKong based shop .

Once I downgrade my console to 3.41. Don't I need to get the ps3break v1.2?

If you want to backup yout games asap then get a dongle.

If you can wait a month or two, then wait for someone to release some custom firmware. A test cfw has already been released which allows pkgs to be installed, it wont be long until they add the coding to allow backups to be run without a dongle in the ps3.

The cfw has been tested on 3.55 firware, but will have to wait and see to make sure that backup scan be run on 3.55
