Clear up about Patching for AP25 and Samsung drives

Hi ,
I read that the Samsung drive dosnt use AP25 so can play those games on LT , Do i need to do anything different when patching the games with xbgx360 or just run it through as if i were going to run it on a LT+ ?

No samsung does. All ap2.5 games will boot on all samsungs.

I Shouldnt have to patch it any differently though should i ? As in it wont affect it having the AP25 info written on the backup disc by xbgx.

Correct. Should work just fine regardless. If you patch it with abgx 1.0.5 it may not boot since it patches for ap2.5. Of course there is only a few games with ap2.5 right now.

Thanks , So you think id be better using xbgx 1.0.4 to be on the safe side then ?

you should use the current. As far as I know it will boot since the samsung ingores ap2.5, but you might want to test and confirm.

Thanks alot , Il try it out as soon as my DVD's arrive and post up the result.
Iv posted a thread about SSV patching but havnt had a reply as yet so was wondering if you knew if i run an iso through XBGX on autofix settings is it patching the SSV files as part of it ? Just iv been looking at some tutorials and some say i will have to patch my SSV Files in manually but i was under the assumtion that it did this for you.

sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't. I usually manually patch them to be safe.

well i dont know wtf is wrong with my samsung cause it wont play any new ap2.5 titles no matter what i do. I have tried with the ISO patched fully, i have tried without ap2.5 i have tried all combinations i can think of and it will not recognize the disc.
If you send me questions on Live about modding or anything related i will block you. Dont be an idiot.

For the guy above i found a great post ( Posted on another forum in the last couple of days) that explains everything , @Stealthdf from what i understand yuo may be spoofing your drive ? if thats correct then it wont work but you can buy an origonal drive ( Type that came with your 360 ) and flash that to work ok with AP25 games , See the part in the below that was to the origonal poster -
"Everyone who can't play AP25 on a Samsung drive haven't got their original drive in their 360. The AP25 check looks to see if the drive in your 360 is the same as what it came with from brand new so if it's different, AP25 games will not run if you have a different drive in there.
For the original poster who cannot play these games on his Samsung, you've said that it it's spoofed to be a Liteon drive so you have to buy or get a Liteon drive, doesn't matter about firmware revision just has to be a liteon. Open up Jungle flasher and rip the current firmware out of your samsung and Jungleflasher will tll you what drive it is spoofed as. It'll be a liteon with a number after it.
Just open up the LT firmware for that revision of Liteon in the target area of Jungleflasher (first tab) and then spoof your key across to it. Flash that to your new Liteon (no soldering needed) and then you'll be good to go.
The above counts for everyone who has the same problem. For AP25 games, you have to have your original drive in there to pass the chack to allow the game to run. Do the above but change the drives to whatever you originall had in there and flash them, you will be sorted."

Well im pretty sure i didnt spoof it. i remmeber replacing the drive but i dont remember or know if it matters if i had a ms25 or 28 and what it was replaced with. I know it was a samsung for sure replaced with a samsung though.
