You would match the 'u' with the exact number and the 'v' can be the same or higher. If you're in the US radioshack would be a good place.

yep thats fine, the capacitance is measured in microfarads and thats the working voltage
is it proud of the board? can you snip the legs and solder to them?
if not you will need some solder braid, and use flux!!!!

Looks good. As long as it matches you will be fine. Remember these caps are polarized so match the stripe to the board.

had the same problem; same error code (0031); and was gone after replacing the capacitor.

thanks guys at least I now know I can fix it but before I order it can anybody tell me the diffrence between
1 Ultra Low Impedance
2 Low Impedance
3 LONG LIFE MINI Radial
As these are the diffrent ones I can see on the bay nowt major diffrence on price so just need to decide which ones to get

Thanks

just get the low impedance one; get one of a 'normal' brand. panasonic FC's are all low impedance elco's; and quite affordable. stay away from those 'strangely looking chinese letter covered' elco's, the quality is bad (unless you have some laying around, then just pop one in). yageo's i sometimes also use, they are also fine. or get sanyo (more expensive). i would just go for the cheapest low impedance one of a real brand (panasonic are the cheapest).

have you got some salvaged elco's laying around? i replaced my elco with one i salvaged from a 12 volt nokia car charger! thus using a standard cheap chinese elco; it is still running oke. as long as you are not replacing elco's in a psu (or in any powerline), any one will work just fine (even the salvaged standard cheap ones).

ultra low impedance and option 3 are both certainly overkill (and way to pricy). just get low impedance ones. if you have to buy some, just buy low impedance ones. the price difference between regular (the ones i salvaged from my car charger) and low impedance is very small.

good luck
