Last November, Android developer Howard Harte offered $1000 to the first person or team that could jailbreak the Google TV.
A group of developers heeded the call and last week successfully jailbroke the platform using a mixed hardware and software-based hack.
The group, GTVhacker dev team, also released a 6-min video showing off their work (below).

Would Rovio actually port Angry Birds this way? It's not a really official way of doing things, is it?
I guess the main reason for a port is to support the NON-touchscreen-capable Google TV device. Still, pretty interesting; this also may mean the eventual full root of the device, if that isn't implied already.
