Hello everyone! I am merging vob's and they always seem to stop at 3.99 gigs. This has happened more than once and I am trying to find out where in winxp can I change the setting. All help is greatly appreciated.

I think what you need to do is change your file system to NTFS I did this when I installed windows XP But I am not sure if you can do it after install as it is how the hard drive is formatted , someone out there might know how to but sorry I don't

the last post was correct. Fat32 file structure limits your max file sizes to 4GB. NTFS doesn't limit this. To change your drive to NTFS you can do this 2 ways. (preferably you will have an additional H.D. that you can format without losing your main operating software or other programs.) If running WinXp you can go to the control panel, select PERFORMANCE & MAINTENANCE, then select ADMINISTRATIVE TOOLS, then select COMPUTER MANAGEMENT, then select DISK MANAGEMENT in the left window. Right click on the drive you wish to convert and select FORMAT. When the format window pops up you can then select the NTFS file structure.

FYI - This is also the window that you can use to rename any of your drives, their drive letters, ect.

***NOTE*** You MUST HAVE Administrative Access to perform the above.

Oops, 2nd Way.......

Second way is to do a fresh install of WinXp and select the NTFS file structure at this time. Of course this may be the only way if you have only one drive. Either way the above method on one drive will also cause you to lose all your software due to the format command :((

If you create a .vob over 1 Gig in size, you'll probably live to regret it.

Thanx everyone. I don't know why I chose to install winxp on fat32 file system. But I am curious to know why I would be sorry to have a vob file larger than 1gig. Also, all of this is a result of a whole week of trying to get Blade 2 on one dvd-r after reading that someone in this forum did this. I have tried everything to do this and am only successful in getting it on two dvd-r's.
