Thats a pretty good ratio for a place like china.

Copyright infringement is nothing more than civil disobedience to a bad set of laws. Lets renegotiate them.

Why don't they just pirate IE7+ then? Or they can use other free browsers (which are better anyways).

What? Almost every prebuilt system comes with windows installed...and most users don't know how to pirate stuff, even if they wanted to.

Considering most come from companies like Dell, they are legit...not retail, but perfectly legal.

OEM included you technically don't pay for whatever OEM license your using. the OEM does, then tacs a fee for the license to the bill of sell.

The only reason China exists is; to steal, lie, and cheat.
That said: I may not always agree with Microsoft's tactics, but China needs to be stopped, for their long-term strategy is to make the rest of the world their slaves.

Did you hit your head really hard when you where a baby? All World Governments exist to lie steal and cheat. the moment you were born you became a slave to society, a society where only the rich get richer, where the poor work until they draw there last breath. where what little freedom you do have is taken away without your approval.

if you cant realize that than maybe your are blessed....in the head.

Ballmer also noted that about 50 percent of Chinese Internet users still use the ancient Internet Explorer 6, because they cannot update their software since they are running pirated editions.
Now I know he is dribbling shiet. You can use IE 7 and 8 on pirated Windows. Idiot.

Exactly, and besides I remember reading an article in which actually, Microsoft said theyd keep updating software on pirated Windows because theyd still rather have people using their operating system in some form, and for security reasons I cant be asked to phrase right now.

Edit: Might've been a while ago though, and might not be the exact reasons I said, but 100% remember a few articles on the subject!!
