Top way to get hit with malware? Porn, says BitDefender

article published on 25 January, 2011

I think its more of the stupid ads on the porn sites than the porn itself. I use porntube sites like tnaflix and pornhub quite often and I don't have any kind of malware at all

Idiotic assumption on BitDefender's part. Porn sites make WAY too much money to risk losing viewers by exposing them to malware.

I believe 60 percent of the people surveyed have malware problems, but I sooner believe 60 percent of the people surveyed are techno-idiots than I'd believe high-income porn sites would purposefully attempt to give malware infections to their paying customers.

When laws allow unlimited ownership of ideas, it is to a society as iron fusion is to the core of a star.

When verified realities lead us to anger, we must learn to reevaluate our beliefs.

When i was 15(7-8years ago)when i first starting getting into the internet i was formatting my computer and reinstalling windows every 6-48 hours max for at least 3 months and to prove this and my evidence stands as follows;

The proper porn sites like bangbros, welivetogeather all them that are sites with members plans which give you 1 page to look at and a buy membership button are usually to the point and lagit.

Now to all the cheap people out there who love their free porn because they won't pay for it and remember this was before redtube and the video revolution that we see today but the free sites are the ones that hide spyware to hijack systems for spamming and infecting a host network for their bidding but usually it ends up in spam. spam spam spam spams spam and guess what more spam. But have a network of free porn gallery's where you can crawl Google to get a new set every day due to Google bots it is easy to have a advert that will activate a script in the middle and then go to the next site. Them scripts in the middle which you can notice if you know what to look for are the ones that do the damage. Which is about the time ActiveX control was built to prevent such actions and today the admin check on windows 7.

Along with these sites crack sites are also a big hitter in spyware which is about 80% are unsafe because again people are cheap and won't pay for software and this was also back before the torrent revolution where your download comes with a clean crack with your program.

Then once we saw file sharing sites like mega upload there was a improvement in the scene but still had the same issues of infected exe's with Trojans which also spread across the p2p networks too.

Was not till 2005 that i say one of the prime years in the torrent revolution where the private torrent scene/some public where using dedicated servers for downloading which gave the better speeds that attracted more users that really took the whole thing to the next level. Then after that if your site did not have a seed box then it would fail to the 10th degree.

From over the years as the internet has progressed the Private torrent scene was the only secure/managed/regulated download source on the internet which is why i see that the torrent protocol has been hammered soo much in the last few years due to the fact that people were using it more and due to it was not randomly placed across the internet like http methods it was more traceable and then the FBI takes it down and we all moved to Switzerland.

But my original point from above was that i went to every one of these sites and every-time i got a spy-ware or virus there was very few signs that you were infected but i seamed to crash my computer quick frequently.

After all this i had a fair idea what to touch and what not to so for years i never used anti virus or firewalls for a time as i only used the safe and secured sites that i knew of.

Really, well when you add the variables together you can make a better understanding of these useless figures :P

Due to evil people on the internet, everyone was afraid of using their credit card but hated the free tour that no one liked so yes they would next Google "free porn" Now 40% of them adults did not care what they clicked on or had the education of the johnny do's and don't so they got spyware instantly and xxx dialers and 20% of them called overseas directly to porn servers haha remember them dialers.

Now the other 23% had a little education on the internet but still where right next to the 40% group as they just wanted to have a bat. The last 37% of adults were the quiet perverts that had the normal life and then TGI Fridays with their new high speed connection they paid for their fetish and got nothing but quality.

The way i see it, infected someone with spyware from a free adult source is like marketing a stupid product, only stupid people are going to look/Think then buy it.

But with the competition of a multi billion dollar business it has become these days which USA is now apparently taxing it because it creates such revenue for the industry we now have imagefap, moviefap, redtube, youporn and pornwall that figure should be less then what it is today because most of these services are free to browse and use and they use advertisement from their high traffic to create their revenue as more people are moving to the internet for just about everything.

Haha what a novel

I would of thought facebook or just running windows would of been the number 1 cause of viruses.most people that visit porn sites already know they are at risk of getting malware on there computer.where as teenagers and young people using facebook trying out the latest free games/apps dont suspect they will get malware.

72 percent of the 2017 people surveyed admitted to searching for and viewing adult content. Of that list, 78 percent were men and the rest were female.

Well, if 78 percent where men, what ELSE would the rest be but female? :) Unless we're going to start added transexuals into data sampling.

Also, what an odd sampling number to use in a survey. 2017.
