LOL, yeah I had 2 managers and since I only use Gaia now thought I'd delete the old one. But I forgot one thing, deleting the manager also deletes the game folder. I quickly unplugged the ps3, not a good idea but may have been.
ps3 still loads but the old manager shows up as corrupt data and my games no longer show in gaia. but if I ftp to the ps3 there is a folder called DELxxxxxx
Anyway all the data is still in there, basically the ps3 moved the data to a delete folder to be deleted.
Now I can ftp the data to an external hdd then back again, but just wondering does anyone know how I can connect the drive to my pc and basically just cut and paste from one folder to another? Or is ftp my only hope, really dont want to cos seems like you can only use 1 connection to the ps3, any more and the ftp crashes, so ftp will mean long long wait. And backing up took the entire day to backup 15 games first time round.
Cut and paste would be instant since its on the same drive and just means changing the directory location thing.
I did the same thing when hit delete the old backup manager,,wondering why it was taking so long to delete,,it freaking delete all my games to,i was so pissed,
Originally posted by bigo93: Yeah only flaw with teh backup managers is they also delete game data. shoudl be an option asking if you want to delete it.
Well im half lucky, the data is still there but need a way to access it on pc rather than ftp. Do not want to spend another day copying games again.
Hmmm thats strange I deleted all of my backup managers and I have them all and I never had to re-backup any of my games.
Yeah I noticed that. Did I miss the memo telling ppl to move their gamez folder? :P
Games were buried in the oman folder, but now after format the gamez folder is in hdd0
I guess if you installed the older version of BM then it doesnt change the directory when you install the latest one.
WEll at least the dev fixed this problem then, shame I didnt know.
Anyone know which FTP is more stable on the ps3? Gaia's and blackbox keep crashing on me even when number of connections is set to 1.
