Have 5.50 d3.It's been working for months perfectly. Downloaded COD for psp, grandson played it yesterday. Battery was fully charged. Turned it on this morning, nada, no light nothing. Plugged in ac adapter, thought it was dean, nothing. Took battery out, plugged in ac adapter, nothing. Charged with battery in, nothing, charged with battery out, nothing. No green light. This just happened, was working fine yesterday. Tried using USB port to charge from ps and a wall adapter, nothing. Any suggestions?

It could be one of many things

1 - Power PORT is broken
2 - Power cable is broken
3 - PSP is fried
4 - something else inside is horribly wrong

But from an external point of view I don't think you can do anything without sending to Sony...

If it was bricked you would get a green light, don't bother making a pandora battery. It's a hardware failure, like pspwxp suggested.

Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.

It might be repairable, but I am not too familiar with the electricity part (I can exchange a UMD drive, but that's about it).
You are trying to charge a slim/2000? If not, USB charging won't work, only 2000 and up support that. Did you activate USB charging when you could still access the PSP (if you are on a 2k)? If not (or if you are on a 1000), the first thing I would test is if the wall charger is still working. If it is I would test if the PSP works with another charged battery. If it does I would get something like this:

I am hoping the a/c adapter is broke, and the battery just juiced out. Taking it apart is useless because I wouldn't know what to look for anyway.
Thanks for everyone's help.

Here's why i don't think its the battery. When I take the battery out and plug in the a/c adapter, nothing. So, I'm going to walmart tonite after work, buy a $20 universal a/c adapter and see what happens. Worse comes to worse, I'll return the a/c adapter if that isn't the answer.

I wouldn't try that, I read about people frying their console with an universal AC addapter. Don't you know anyone else with a PSP?
