Regal Entertainment, the largest movie theater company in the U.S. has announced today that it has amended its current contract with RealD over 3D screens. In 2008, the companies signed a deal for Regal to install 1500 3D screens, and the new deal effectively doubles the original, with Regal now agreeing to install 3000 of the screens. A lot of money for a re-baked gimmick fad! But at $19 a ticket I suppose they can afford to pull the kids into the theaters, they buy into it for sure.

When you say not much to them do you mean the movie(s) isn't/aren't good but the 3D is still pretty cool? Or do you mean that 3D isn't implemented well?
