Google has confirmed it will be officially launching Android 3.0 Honeycomb at a press event on February 2nd.
The company also unveiled the new logo for the operating system (pictured).
Android 3.0 is optimized for tablets and will first be seen on the Motorola Xoom, which should be available at the end of February.

Xoom is decent, has dual Tegra 2 chips with GPU too, so it should do well if you can get past the sticker price (about $700-800). Verizon is offering it subsidized at around $200 at last announcement, but that may change when they launch.
