According to a new comScore report on digital trends, email usage has significantly declined, especially amongst teenagers.
From December 2009 to December 2010, overal web email usage declined 8 percent, dragged down by a 59 percent decline among teens aged 12-17.

I rather e-mail so I don't have to feel force to respond right away to the person who just sent me a text message or waste my time reading tweet messages.
Honestly if you have time to read or follow tweet messages, your life must not be that interesting to have to follow someone else, get off the couch and do something.

E-mail is not free from your phone unless you have a data plan. Texting is easier, faster, and more practical for teenagers. That's why they're all doing that instead. I hardly ever email anyone. I either text them, call them (Skype or cell), or Facebook em.
