While watching the films, the apps have real-time Facebook and Twitter integration, allowing watchers to share quotes or talk.
Let me get this straight. When I watch the movie, I need to twitter a friend then synchronize a "Play" NOW command so that we can then later "share quotes or talk" while the movie is playing.

All the talking and useless chatter/interuptions is WHY I don't go to the movies in the first place.

I'm definitely missing the appeal or they're selling bullsH!T features or I'm just too old for this.

I honestly might try this out. It does not sound that bad, as long as people stay quiet.

I would hope the theatre would tell everyone with iPhones to turn down the volume so we don't all hear clicking sounds (the sound iPhone makes while typing).

$9.99 for The Dark Knight? Inception for $11.99? You can buy both movies on Blu-ray at similar even equal prices at Amazon! As long as they refuse to lower their prices, digital copies won't displace phisical media like DVD and BD, IMO I really don't see the benefit of choosing to purchase movies from iTunes or iOS App Store, when you can get them on DVD or BD, and actually enjoy movies like you should, on a big screen with surrounding sound, and at the best audiovisual quality phisical media has to offer.
