Apple has begun sending out invites for an iPad 2 launch event on March 2nd, confirming recent rumors. The event will be at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts at 10:00 am, the same venue used for multiple launches in the past few years. I read about this on Engadget the other day... The SD mem card slot was scrapped at the 11th hour (engineering issue).

If the IP2 will be on market say by april and ip3 with in 6 months dose that make ip2 a IP1.5 or will it have a whole new set of features? I'm ready to purchase when it is on market but not if there are more features 6 months later. What are new features besides camera; usb, skype capabilities what. Need for trip in late April to Doha.
