Sad...you know...everyone rips on HTC as a cheap Chinese maker (although most of those people are iPhone users looking for some reason to bash Android), but they sure do support their phones. Samsung, on the other hand, wouldn't even port Android 2.2 to a phone less than a year old. I'm pretty sure I'm going HTC for my next phone.
Mate people can bash HTC as much as they like, but personally i have had HTC's for the last 5 or so phones.
Parts are cheap so i can replace bits myself instead of paying $$$ for insurance i may never need.
Like you said they do look after previous customers and have a very long history of working with xda-developers, which means for development or just playing with the info is always at hand.
Feature Rich HTC gave me built in GPS and full sat nav years ago, something that other manufactures have only started to catch up on.
Lastly since they became first droid hardware developer they are most likely continue to be one of the prime players due to the head start.
LOL and all ibone users should be reminded who exactly makes their phones.... aherm .. im not bashing foxycon but personally i think i will stick with HTC.

Yep, exactly...although I'm hoping to get 2.3 for my G2 closer to April rather than June lol.
