hi can anyone help when using the remote the box just freezes i can still change channels from the box but not remote ive tried replacing the remote batteries PLZZZZZZZZZZZZ HELP ME CAUSE THE MISSUS IS MOANING THAT SHE HAS 2 GET UP ALL THE TIME LOL

ur right menszone that will cost more than the remote will cost me ma tea aswell and ma bed bath ok ok 2 much info anyway how do i fix the sensor on the box?? cheers

which box is it you have? A750 or 780?
If its a A780, I would contact your supplier and let them know the prob, as if you open that box, your warranty is null and void, so before ya do anything check with them first,
If its a A750, the remote sensor is in the front of the box when you remove the top cover, look inside the front of the box, you will see the Ir sensor, if its loose or if its covered by anything, move it slightly,
If its a780, dont open, contact your supplier

nice one mickah will contact supplier.think it must be the remote not the sensor cause just tried a freeview ive got and the changes the channels up and down but have 2 different buttons to change channel not up and down buttons

try using a digital camera, turn the red eye on, point yer remote at it and press the buttons, you should see the beams in the LCD screen on the camera, press each button and you should see a beam, the ones that dont show a beam, then ya know its a remote fault, but dont open the box mate, yer warranty will be gone

or just buy a remote of ebay for about a fiver.

its not a remote problem, its a sensor problem, doing the above eliminates the remote from the issue

why buy a remote if its faulty.... if the remote is the prob, then the supplier should be able to help

hi mickah i already tried that with the camera remote works fine theres a beam when i press ever button must be the sensor on the box also read some were aswell that it might be because i have weak signal coming in as im using a sh*tty argoos extenions kit and the copper wire inside is thin as a hell

hi guyz..i recent bught a KV A780 from mycablebox, the Remote they sent me with box doesnt seem to be the original remote, on the bottom of remote it says "evolution" and my problem is, the remote does not have any option for subtitle, and more frustrating is that, the box keeps resetting to factory default every day, meaning i lose all channels and favourites and i have to scan again and again, and set the whole thing up from scratch.
any help/advice appreciated. cheers.

just a update ive contacted my supplier and the said ive 2 return the box but the remote u get with the box only comes with a 30 day warentty<<<<(cba spell checking lol)

well to be fair, the remotes a fiver to buy, the box if they replace it, is an awful lot more, but its good your getting sorted

hi again ive still not sent the box back due 2 the fact that ive found out that it cant be the sensor because ive got a old freeview remote and that works fine with the box so there for it cant be the sensor at fault as the freeview remote works with the box well in a way i.e i have to press info on remote for channels to go down and press tv/radio for channels to go up....im baffled 2 what the fault can be is it the remote or box????? getting very pee`d off now as the box has now reset itself and u need to press the green button to rescan again aaaaaaaarrrrrggggghghhhhh!!!!!!!!!

also another thing dont think they will sort the box as the box has been flashed for obvious reasons so the original software will not be on it im thinking that this may have voided my warranty and same goes for every one else who has a box and flashed it

Mine was doing the same, i opened the remote and very gently bent the sensor slightly. It worked for me. I read it on another site.

just a wee update got new remote and working now....well in sayin that i hear the server has been turned off is there anything on the grapevine when it will be back on??.....if its not 1 thing its another raaaarrrrr
