After a lot of cost analysis, I decided to pay $30 to flash my virgin Lite On 7 series drive to Ixtreme LT 1.1+ FW. I'm sure there is a certain set of files I should ask for incase I ever need to upgrade my firmware on my own such as the extracted key probed from my drive.
Dummy bin?
lite on key...bin?
Thanks in advance for the clarification.

Just curious, are you paying a certain shop or something to do it or just a friend? I'm looking to flash mine too from iextreme 1.6 to lt+

It's a local PC repair shop who said they would mod it as well. I feel 100% comfortable doing it but I don't have the time nor immediate funds to pay ~$100 to buy necessary tools myself. I figured the cost I'm paying is slightly higher than what I would pay for JUST the probe to get my key once.
Soooo, to recap, what files do I need to specifically ask for? Thanks.

Make sure they do a FULL dump of your Lite-On, AND give you the OFW and the CFW. once you got the OFW & CFW, email them to yourself.

HAHAHA yeah, I'm sure they would get right on handing out documented proof they are breaking the law. That would be funny

@m4r0v3r That's what I always thought "I bought the console, so it is mine to do what I want with and modify how I want, now copying games that aren't bought is illegal" wrong. found out that you buy the console you only own the hardware. The software is solely the property of microsoft, therefore any modification is illegal. It is right in their TOS (not that anyone reads that crap)It is in fact illegal to flash your xbox because you are modifying "their" software because you never own rights to the firmware on even your system. Pretty messed up huh? I am sure you are skeptical, so was I at first, until I did some research. Look it up. (I don't mean read peoples opinions and guesses in forums.) I can't remember where all I went to get the info as it was a while ago, but it IS illegal, at least in the USA, not sure about UK and such as that is where we have to order flashing tools and such from because they aren't sold in the US (because its illegal....)
