RIM has announced today that the long-awaited BlackBerry PlayBook tablet will go on sale on April 19th at 20,000 retail stores in the U.S and Canada. Matching the iPad 2's base price, the PlayBook will also sell for as low as $500. I have to say...it looks sweet...and I never thought I would say that about a blackberry; they have really upped their game. If this thing had cell network calling, at least one quality camera, and Android then I would get the 64GB model with all the bells and whistles.

The AK47 might be cheap if you life in Afghanistan, but the "importers" of such weapons tend to add very large markups, and then there is the whole issue of spending 10 years in prison if you get caught with the thing. That said, cell phones are probably more important in Afghanistan than they are in "1st world" countries.
