Today we celebrate our discussion forums' 10th birthday.
It was exactly ten years ago today when the first public post was made to our forums. Since that post, more than 3.6 million messages have been posted to our forums -- and an additional 1.4 million posts to our Finnish language forums.

Thanks guys. And no, its not (wasnt) our site's birthday, but instead, our forums' birthday. We actually did run our site for almost two years before launching the current forum section. Which, looking to the past, was a very good decision to do, although, could've been done straight from the beginning :-) Our site will celebrate its 12th birthday in June :-)

Likewise, there are not many old timers left. I am not all that active but I hit AD a few times a week.

Thanks for that bit of history. I never realized I joined shortly after the forums started. Until now I thought I came on 2 yrs after the start.
Thanks for changing the forum formats so rarely.

I am proud to say I have been here for most of the time that afterdawn has been up. I have been here for 7 years and always read the news here every week but im still just a junior member :(

I don't know how AD classifies people. I'm a 56 yer old Junior.
Even though I was one of the people (two hundred of us)who started the first website in the US (Stanford U), Junior is ok with me. ;)

ddp that must be a near record. I know a few that go through those stages quickly but not that quickly. Me, it has almost taken 10 yrs of regular activity to get there.
