As of 2pm today, the New York Times paywall is now live, meaning you will need to subscribe to the newspaper to have unlimited access to articles online. This is what we need. A company to have the balls to say this out loud. They will get the money from people who want to pay them. A pirate will always be a pirate and will most likely never pay for anything, so it's pointless to overburden everyone with annoying drm. The only time I've ever had a subscription to anything was pre-internet. I've always just picked up a discarded one from benches or read them in doctors offices. I will not pay to read what I can read for free from numerous sources on the internet.
