Can anyone help?

I was wondering if there are any standalone players or dvd drives that can play both sides of a double sided dvd-r, so that a film recorded on both sides can be played through without flipping?

Nice idea, but does not exist. Sorry. Maybe in the future, but I doubt it. Essentially, this would require the standalone to contain 2 DVD readers. One on the top of the disc and one on the bottom of the disc. Think for a moment. Is there a market for that? Not yet. Legally Blonde is double sided but the only time I ever looked at the other side is when I put it in the player upside down by mistake. I want to watch the movie, not people talk about how it was made.
