Sorry if this is a stupid question as I'm maths challenged.

I'm following this guide - http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/virtualdub_join_avi.cfm

I'm using it to stitch up a two 700 MiB avi files into a single 137 GiB avi. Everything seems to go smoothly, however I have a question about the resulting file.

When I run it through media info, it says the file I made is 1904 kbps. The original files I stitched together are 2066 kbps. Every other detail is the same.

What's happening here and is it a problem?

I checked a couple of files that had the same bitrate and when they were joined the bitrate was the same.
Perhaps ask at the VirtualDub Forum.
The Creator of Virtualdub maintains the site.
