Jack Tretton, president of Sony Computer Entertainment of America has confirmed this week that the upcoming NGP (PSP2) may be delayed due to the earthquake and tsunami that killed thousands in Japan and disrupted production for hundreds of companies. Would not mind having one of these but not planning to pop 300 bucks.

I am however, not surprised that this delay is coming. My prayers go out to the Japanese.

But, in spite of SNEA claims, it is being developed in Japan, and it is nowhere near ready. I guess they could just release it as-is and completely broken...but then they would have to put a microsoft sticker on it.

This is to bad. I passed on upgrading to anything past the original psp. Now that Sony is finally adding another analog stick to the psp I will be the first in line to pick up one of these.
