What OS and which files system are you running?

Is it Win 98 or ME
Fat 32 or NTFS ?

XP means you're probably using NTFS rather than FAT32. You can check this by clicking START -> ALL PROGRAMS -> ADMINISTRATIVE TOOLS -> COMPUTER MANAGEMENT -> STORAGE -> DISK MANAGEMENT. You should see each of your drives and the file system type.

Try ripping the files to your hard drive with DVD Decrypter, and then editing those files with DVDshrink.

A simpler way is to double click the my computer icon and highlight your local disk c:. Now look to the left under Details and it will show the file system as well as the free space on the Hard Drive.

Oh, right... That IS easier!

I turned off all the extra feature in XP (like the "use common tasks in folder" option), so I forgot it actually shows you right there. Heheh! :)

Read this thread re: DVD2One vs. DVDShrink
http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/71507

I think you'll have just as much trouble with DVD2One. Plus, the DVD2One program doesn't come with DVD ripping or burning tools, so you'll STILL need to use something like DVD Decrypter and Nero anyway.
