Hi,

I have just purchased a Sony DVD Burner replacing my CD Burner. Using Windows Explorer I was able to right mouse click on the drive and select FORMAT to format blank re-writable CDs. I am now using the DVD burner and dont have this function on the right mouse click over the drive. I find this function very useful as you can drag and drog files to back up once the CD or now DVD is formated.

I have CopyToDVD, Nero and DLA software install on my computer to backup DVDs.

Can you tell me why I cant use this function now as i find it very useful. I do know other people who can still format CDs and DVDs using explorer.

Are there any programs that were present on your computer before the install of your DVD burner that are not there now? Or have you added any programs to your computer since the addition of your new hardware?

Sorry About that.... My fault !!


Before I added the hardware I did have Easy CD Creator which I removed. Now I have CopyToDVD, Nero and DLA (Which came with the Sony DVD Burner) software.

Hope this hasnt effect my PC permanatly..
