Almost one year after it was first announced, the white iPhone 4 model will go on sale tomorrow, for Verizon and AT&T.
The phone will be available through Apple, the two carriers, and most retailers that carry other Apple products.
Says Philip Schiller, Apple?s senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing:

Of course it's beautiful, that's how Apple entices consumers to pay double. They are easily the smartest company in the world. A little buzz-injection for the iPhone 4 to whet the appetite before the next instalment - which will undoubtedly lack many basic functions that we should be taking for granted.

I for one, won't be getting it. I bought a black one on launch day and I love it; the white one looks cool though.

WTF?
How hard could it be?
Ahahahahaha, I guess this sums up Apple's customers and their attitude towards them.
Its a lot easier being righteous than right.

I LoL'd at that...the press image clearly shows that they have not done anything about the deathgrip issue; so they obviously didn't do anything at all except change the color.
Also, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. For my money, the original droid (with the keyboard) is the most attractive phone ever made, even if it is outdated by modern standards. This...it is hideous; and I am sure it only looks worse with use. If someone forced me to buy an iPhone, I certainly wouldn't choose the white one.

I've never seen something get this much press coverage over a friggen color change. Who cares!?
I take that back, I've seen this happen with other Apple products.
It's getting so ridiculous that at some point a review site is likely going to re-review an Apple product over something as arbitrary as a color change and somehow, with a dash of new pigment, that product will get an even better review than the previous one.
Losing hope for humanity; one boutique electronic at a time.

Not that anyone really cares anymore. Having waited this long, it's really just for those who go an iphone on Verison and haven't had to wait that long. And if you've been on AT&T you might was well wait for the iphone 5 which will have actual improvements.

Not me, I'm hanging out for iPhone 69... the improvements on that have to be felt to be believed.

So a white model of an existing phone is news-worthy...
I remember when you could actually change your phones outer casing at a cost of £5 per new design... How is this garbage of merit? How long till they release a purple design? How about black and white stripes intermixed with a green eyeball - or is that going to be the "new" design released in 2067.
Just think, maybe come the year 4082, the iPhone may have got past this new-fangled outer design stage and developed into something PAST what it is now - AN IPHONE!
