Windows revenue market share topped 78 percent in 2010

Gartner has posted the latest worldwide OS market share figures, and it seems that as the economy recovered, so did OS sales. For 2010, revenue jumped to $30.4 billion from $28.1 in 2009. Microsoft gained share for Windows, but Mac OSX remained the fastest growing segment of the market. The server market grew 5.7 percent, as well. Microsoft should put some of that revenue and invest it into some better development for their mobile OS.

Invest in people that know how to code in ARM and RISC, or in some more of those "How to code an OS" for dummies books.

Andre, what do you mean by Mac OSX figures being skewed?

I would hardly have thought they were that minuscule, I seem to see MacHeads all the time in forums... perhaps there's nothing else to do with OSX (kidding).
