Following the breach of security that has caused 100 million accounts to have their data compromised, Sony is now considering offering rewards for info that leads to the arrest and prosecution of those responsible for the hacks.
So far, Sony has not decided on whether to offer the reward but is actively considering.

i'll help out sony ... they use computers and they mostly attack companies that use security as a way to take away features that the public want or already have ...ohh they really hate it when a company uses a forced firmware update to take away any features or cripple the system or device that was already working fine for the user until you scare the user to upgrade or it will stop/or has stopped working until you upgrade the firmware...hope that helps sony
I know who is responsible for all this...I don't know his name, but he works for Sony and is responsible for ensuring that security updates get installed. Being attacked is no excuse for lack of security, especially when your company is practically taunting potential attackers. Sony wouldn't be offering identity theft protection if they were not 100% liable.
As for a list of people who might have casually walked in through the door that the head of security welded open, I am sure it is only about 10,000,000 long...cross-reference that with the ~70,000,000 customers that sony has f**ked over the last 15 months, and I bet the total would be under 1,000,000 potential attackers.
i dont care. If the reward was high enough i would turn in my best friend.
But on a personal note to the hacker(s) who did this.
Fuc* you. this time around i hope sony tears you a new ass and throws you in prison to get anal raped. this is totally uncalled for. u already lost all respect of all of us. i probebly was annonomous. i will bet my left nut it was.

Thanks 1nsan3...you gave me a real good laugh...You do know Sony left the door wide open for them? Sure the hacker(s) never shoulda done it but Sony let em in and has been begging for it for years.
Go ahead and put your money in a paper bag out in your front yard. I won't feel bad for ya for a second when some crackhead takes it...

Whether they catch them or not, I think they made their point.
I didn't know the thieves came forward and stated what their point was in all of this. What I have heard is rumor, speculation and other members opinions about why this attack occurred.
